Unlinked Mind

Moments pass quickly,
A mind filled with laughter,
Distraction and chaos,
Brain fog and disaster.

Rush of thoughts,
Can never slow down,
Creeping and lurking,
When no-one’s around.

A frown to a smile,
World turned upside down,
Where not much makes sense,
Can’t turn this around.

Tried joining the dots,
Pieces still not linking,
Not able to comprehend,
Racing thoughts and overthinking.

Looking for a time,
When this may all pass,
Vision blurred for the future,
Never slowing, way too fast.

Moving on forward,
Not seeing an end,
To this disorderly thinking,
How many more moments,
Until the mind is on the mend?
